Consistency: Ensuring your cat has a continuous supply of their medication helps avoid interruptions in treatment, which is critical for managing chronic conditions.
How to Transition to a 90-Day Supply
If your cat is already on medication and you’d like to switch to a 90-day supply, when you need your next refill, give us a call at 518-869-5779 and leave a message on our prescription line stating you would like to receive a 90-day supply. You can also visit our website www.justcatsvet.com to request your refill, and add a comment that you would like a 90-day supply. If your cat is up-to-date and eligible for a 90-day supply, we will have your cat’s medications ready for pick-up within 72 business hours of your request.
Eligibility
NYS requires all cats to be up-to-date with annual exams to legally prescribe medications. This means your cat must be seen at least every 12 months for us to be able to prescribe medications. This also includes prescription diets.
There are some conditions, such as hyperthyroidism or diabetes, that require more frequent visits and blood work to ensure proper doses are given.
Stay Ahead of Backorders
While the supply chain has improved, we recommend staying proactive by ordering refills a bit earlier than you need. This ensures you have enough medication on hand in case of any unforeseen delays.
