Susan Sikule, DVM

Dr. Sikule began Just Cats Veterinary Clinic in 1994, filling a niche in the community to care for feline patients in the capital district.  She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine, after completing her undergraduate at the University of Rochester.  She has specific interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and holistic medicine including acupuncture. 

Dr. Theresa M. Tommell, DVM

Dr. Tommell began her veterinary career as a technician in 1997. From SUNY Delhi she earned an A.A.S. in veterinary medicine and became a licensed veterinary technician (LVT).   In 2002 she earned her B.S. in Biology from Siena College.  She went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine from 2003 to 2005. She completed a clinical year at Virginia Tech and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2006.  Dr. Tommell’s professional interests include surgery, internal medicine and dentistry.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT’s)
LVT’s are similar to registered nurses in the human profession.  They care for your cat, administer anesthesia, perform dental procedures, monitor the health and well being while your cat stays with us.  LVT’s are your cats voice while in the hospital.  They are trained to observe pain and make sure their stay is as stress free as possible.
